The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched the 50th round of its quarterly Services and Infrastructure Outlook Survey (SIOS) for July–September 2026. This milestone edition of the RBI outlook survey covers the business situation for Q2:2026-27 and collects forward-looking expectations from companies across India’s services and infrastructure sectors.
Key Details of the RBI Outlook Survey
The survey captures qualitative responses on several important indicators. These include demand conditions, financial conditions, employment conditions, and the price situation. Additionally, the survey covers the outlook for Q3:2026-27 and extends projections to Q4:2026-27 and Q1:2027-28, giving a broader view of near-term business sentiment.
M/s Genesis Management & Market Research Pvt. Ltd. has been authorised to conduct this round on behalf of the RBI. The agency will directly approach selected companies. However, other eligible firms in the services and infrastructure sectors can also participate voluntarily.
Interested companies can download the survey questionnaire from the RBI’s official website under the ‘Survey’ sub-head. Therefore, participation is open and straightforward for any qualifying business. Once completed, companies should email the duly authenticated questionnaire as per the contact details provided in the form.
What This Means for India’s Banking and Business Sectors
The RBI uses SIOS findings to monitor economic trends across key non-manufacturing sectors. As a result, the data directly informs policy decisions and macroeconomic assessments. The survey results are published in summary form on the RBI website, and importantly, respondents’ identities remain confidential.
For queries, companies can contact the Director, Division of Enterprise Surveys, Department of Statistics and Information Management, Reserve Bank of India, C-8, 2nd Floor, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai – 400051.
